Oooky is our favorite office cat and quite possibly the most loving cat in the world. If you sit down at a desk, he assumes it’s an invitation. He’ll hop right up, settle in beside your keyboard, and gently lean into you until you give in and start petting him. Snuggling isn’t optional with Oooky. It’s part of his daily job description.
He’s wonderfully talkative and never shy about sharing his thoughts. Whether he’s greeting you in the morning or reminding you that it’s time for a break, his sweet little meows keep the office feeling warm and alive.
Friendly doesn’t even begin to cover it. Oooky adores people. He wants to be near you, on you, or preferably both at all times. If you’re looking for a constant companion who will shower you with affection and turn any workspace into a cozy cuddle zone, Oooky is your guy.
Ooky has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which can impact the immune system over time. The good news? With regular vet care, a healthy diet, and an indoor lifestyle, FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, completely normal lives.

The Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) is one of southeast Michigan’s most established animal shelters, serving the community since 1953. Our history and experience combined with constant evaluation of trends in animal welfare and sheltering have made us a necessary and respected asset within our community. As, “A Different Breed of Shelter” we challenge the stereotypes of traditional animal shelters and believe that the, “Quality of the Wait,” can make all the difference in the future of an animal.
Our Mission
The Mission of the Michigan Animal Rescue League is to provide the highest quality of life to dogs and cats through rescue, medical care, socialization and behavioral support, short- and long-term sanctuary, adoption, and community education and outreach.
