My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tobie is a sleek house panther with stunning golden eyes. Meet this sweet, loving boy who truly believes there’s no such thing as too much affection! He absolutely adores being around his humans and will happily soak up all the hugs and kisses you’re willing to give. If you’re looking for a cat who bonds closely and loves attention, he’s your guy!

When he’s not snuggling, he’s ready for fun! He enjoys playtime and will gladly chase toys, pounce, and show off his playful side. He’s the perfect mix of affectionate companion and spirited playmate.

We are unsure if he has lived with dogs, but as a young kitty, he would likely adjust to a feline savvy dog friend with slow proper introductions.

Tobie is about 6 months old, neutered, FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.

If you’re searching for a loving, interactive cat who will shower you with affection and keep you smiling, Tobie is your guy and he can’t wait to meet you!

If you would like to meet Tobie, please fill out an application on our website today or visit him at the Chuck & Don's Savage location!

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
