Meet Deeebo 💙
6-year-old American Bulldog

Deeebo is a big, blocky sweetheart who’s ready for a fresh start after being surrendered due to his owner moving. Don’t let his tough-guy kennel act fool you—once he’s out, his true personality shines.

Deeebo can seem a little gruff when you first meet him in his kennel, but he’s just eager to get out and stretch his legs. On leash, he’s strong and pulls with enthusiasm (he’s got places to go!), but he’s very people-focused and responsive. Staff have observed that he sits on command, happily accepts affection, and absolutely loves being rubbed and doted on.

According to his previous owner, Deeebo has lived successfully with dogs of all sizes and is friendly with them, and he’s also done well with cats. He enjoys companionship and thrives on positive attention from his people.

Deeebo would do great with an adopter who appreciates a sturdy, affectionate dog and is ready to give him the love, structure, and outings he’s been missing. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy who cleans up nicely once he’s out of his kennel, Deeebo might be your guy.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
