Meet Herb – A Loyal Lap Cat Looking for a Fresh Start

Hi, I’m Herb! I first came to the West Memphis Animal Shelter as a tiny kitten back in August 2018. I was adopted a few months later and spent the last 7 wonderful years in a loving home.

I lived peacefully with several other cats for years, but recently I had a serious disagreement with one of my feline housemates. Since then, I just haven’t been able to let it go. Because of that tension, I was returned to the shelter — and I’m feeling pretty confused about it all.

With people? I’m fantastic. I’m affectionate, gentle, and a true lap baby. I love attention and being close to my humans. I would likely do best as the only cat in the home (or possibly with a very slow introduction and careful match), since I clearly prefer not sharing my space anymore.

I don’t want to stay at the shelter long. I’ve had a home before, and I know how to love and be loved. I just need someone willing to give me another chance — maybe in a quieter home where I can feel secure again.
