Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I have tested heartworm positive. This means I have a parasite and need treatment. While my friends at HSNBA desperately want to help me, the shelter is too stressful an environment to undertake treatment and treatment itself is very expensive. The shelter has a few options to help with treatment, and if I steal your heart you should talk with them and your vet about what my treatment is like. For more information on heartworms, please visit the American Heartworm Society here https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basics
Meet Kassius! 🐾💛
Kassius is a 6-year-old Terrier mix with a beautiful black-and-brindle coat and a heart full of love for everyone she meets. At just 26 pounds, she’s the perfect petite companion — small enough to curl right up on your lap, which is her absolute favorite place to be. This sweet girl is a natural cuddler and will happily soak up every bit of affection you offer. 🥰🧡
She walks well on leash and brings a joyful spark to every outing. Kassius can get a little jumpy when she’s excited, but it’s only because she’s so thrilled to be near her people. She knows some basic commands and will often listen when gently corrected, especially when she realizes it’ll make you proud. 🐕✨
Kassius is the kind of dog who fills a home with warmth, comfort, and companionship. If you’re looking for a loving lap dog who enjoys both cozy snuggles and cheerful strolls, come meet Kassius — she might be the perfect little sweetheart for your family. 💛🏡✨HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.
