My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Brave

Adoption Fee: $70

Brave is only 2 years old, but he has already lived up to his name in ways no dog ever should have to. He has been through more than most, and yet he keeps moving forward with quiet strength. At some point in his life, Brave was likely hit by a car or experienced significant trauma. The joint connecting his hip healed incorrectly, leaving him with a limp and limited use of his back leg, which he only uses for balance. He will need a full rear hip replacement or an FHO surgery, and he is also heartworm positive, meaning he has a long road of treatment and recovery ahead.

True to his name, Brave faces it all with resilience and a gentle heart. He is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and very handsome. He loves cuddling up, taking naps, and being close to his people. Brave may have medical challenges, but his courage, love, and spirit make him truly special—and he deserves a future filled with comfort, healing, and unconditional love.

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We like to meet prospective adopters and be with them when they meet a potential new pet.

2.

Meet the Pet

Meet and greets are strongly encouraged if there are other dog(s) and/or cat(s) or children in the home

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Renter's are required to provide letter from landlord approving a pet or additional pet

4.

Pay Fee

Our fees are low and do not cover much of the expenses we put into the animal prior to its becoming available for adoption.

5.

Take the Pet Home

We ask new owners to not return an animal before 9 days so its entry time can restart.

6.

Take the Pet Home

We remind the new family that it may take up to 3 months for a dog to decompress, learn the the family's routine, and feel at home.

Additional adoption info

We have the right and responsibility to the animal and the prospective new owner to refuse an adoption.
