On Tuesday 27th January 2026, I found little Lucky in a parking lot in Grand Prairie, TX at 12:30am. It was in the middle of an ice storm and temperatures were below 20. She ran up to me, and she refused to be put down on the ice after that. Poor thing was shivering in my arms.
We warmed her up in our car and took her to the 24-hour vet, only to find out she is not microchipped but in good health. We took her home for the night, so that we could commence the process of trying to find her family in the morning. It’s time to assume she doesn’t have one.
Lucky is a sweetheart. She loves to snuggle with us and lay in our arms, but she is scared of my dog and was initially apprehensive of my other cat (we put this down to her being on the streets for a while). Recently, she has opened up to our cat; but not our dog. We want to find her a loving home where she doesn’t have to worry about sharing her space with a dog.
If you want your very own velcro kitty; this is her.
