My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brownie is a 10 mo old 40 pd dog who is in search of that forever home!!! He was dumped at a trailer park in Alabama, beat up by other dogs, he never fought back and recently came into the hands of a good samaritan and is currently in boarding awaiting neuter. He has had vax and is hw neg. A small limp is present with no issues walking.
He is good with dogs, kids, and people. most likely a german shep mix. He knows sit and is good on a leash, and he keeps a clean kennel.
We will bring him here wtih a committed foster or adopter, who can be patient with him, work with him, train him and allow him to unfold. You will need to pick him up off transport. We try to get transport as close to your location as possible.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We have a virtual home-check process (don't forget to submit photos of the exterior of your home!) Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

Go meet their pets

Since all rescue dogs live in foster homes, there is no single facility to meet pups.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog after you have an approved app on file. Apps can be filled out at ewenityfarm.org

More about this rescue

We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
