Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Miss Luna Clyde ✨
Luna Clyde is a gentle, soulful girl who has already been through more than most dogs should ever have to experience. She came to NTASR after her owners passed away, and caring neighbors stepped up to make sure this very special, special-needs pup landed somewhere safe, understanding, and loving. Luna is a double merle, which means she is deaf and partially blind. Because of this, she experiences the world a little differently — and moves through it slowly and thoughtfully. Her little person was also special needs, and they had a very special bond. She would love another little person to love.
She is sweet, affectionate, and soft-natured, but also shy and a bit skittish as she learns her new surroundings. Right now, Luna spends much of her day resting and gently wandering the house, which is very typical for dogs with sensory limitations who are also decompressing in a brand-new environment. She absolutely loves affection, gives sweet kisses, and melts into scratches and gentle pets. Physical touch is her love language. We believe Luna is house-trained and will thrive with consistency, structure, and a predictable routine, which we are actively working on. She does well with other dogs and would benefit from calm canine companions who can help her feel secure.
Because of her needs, Luna will require an experienced adopter who understands special-needs dogs — someone patient, kind, and willing to move at her pace. In return, Luna offers a quiet, deeply loving presence and the kind of bond that feels truly special. She is adjusting slowly and cautiously, but we are already seeing small, meaningful improvements — a wonderful sign for this deserving girl.
🐾 Potty Trained / Housetrained (with routine) 🐾 Good with Dogs 🐾 Affectionate • Chill • Curious • Shy 🐾 Special Needs – Deaf & Partially Blind 🐾
Needs Experienced Adopter Luna Clyde may not experience the world loudly or clearly — but she feels love deeply. And she’s ready for the right person to show her what “home” means again. 💙
