Bonnie Lou is a 5–7 year old Shih Tzu weighing in at a petite 10 pounds of pure sweetness. This little lady is the definition of laid-back and lovable. Bonnie Lou enjoys the simple things in life — cozy naps, gentle affection, and just being near her people.
She is fully house broken and has wonderful indoor manners. If Bonnie Lou thinks she has been left alone, she may give a short little howl (about 20 seconds) just to check in, then she settles right back down for another nap. It’s honestly pretty adorable.
Bonnie Lou is hard of hearing, but she navigates her world just fine.
Bonnie Lou does great with kids and gets along well with other dogs. While she hasn’t been formally tested with cats, her calm and easygoing personality suggests she would likely do just fine with a respectful feline friend.
If you’re looking for a quiet, loving companion who is happy to relax by your side, Bonnie Lou may be your perfect match. 🐾
She has recently been spayed, had a dental, is up to date on shots and was microchipped. She also had some mammary tumors removed.
Adoption fee is: $350
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue
CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
