My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Navin is a sweet and loveable boy. He joined the Cause for Paws crew when his owner could no longer keep him. He is a big boy but that doesn't keep him from playing and running around his foster home.He has lived with children and another cat. He did well with both. Navin's cat buddy died so he misses him and wishes he had another cat friend. He enjoys sitting on your lap when he has the opportunity.Navin is a quiet cat unless you put him in a kennel. Just like most cats he is not a big fan of going to the vet and will let you know it. He is a goofball and very entertaining. If you would like to meet him, please call our voicemail at 952-259-1483 and leave your name and telephone number or email us at cause4paws@hotmail.com

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee for a Cause for Paws cat is $225. There is an adoption application that is completed and reviewed prior to the adoption. This application will ask for a veterinarian reference and we will check this reference prior to an adoption. The application gives us an opportunity to learn more about the potential adopter and whether or not the cat that they are interested in would be a good match. There is also an adoption contract that is completed at the time of the adoption. Because we are an all-volunteer organization, we typically will respond to an inquiry within 24 to 48 hours.

More about this rescue

Cause for Paws is a Minnesota nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization founded in 1998. It is a small all-volunteer group of friends who love cats and want to make a difference for cats in our community. The small group's main focus is helping stray and abandoned cats and kittens find loving, permanent homes. Cats are fostered in volunteers' homes; there is no shelter facility. The goal of every Cause for Paws adoption is a home where the cat and the other family members -- both two-legged and four-legged -- will thrive. Prior to adoption, all cats are examined by a veterinarian, Felv/fiv tested, vaccinated (including rabies and distemper), spayed or neutered, microchipped and registered, fostered in a volunteer foster home to determine the kitty's personality, and received treatment for flea/parasite prevention. As funds allow, Cause for Paws also provides spay/neuter assistance for owned cats in the community, through its Cause for Paws Spay/Neuter Subsidy Program. The work of Cause for Paws is funded entirely by donations.
