My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey everyone! Meet rei!

Rei came to us as a stray from the shelter and was critically ill. She was 30 lbs under weight with a stomach full of foreign material and her bloodwork was at critical levels. Our vet was not sure Rei was going to make it in the beginning. With an amazing foster and a top notch vet here we are today!! Rei is a survivor with the most loyal heart. She adores all people, big and small. She's good with other dogs, but they may not like her boundless energy and rough and rowdy play. Another rowdy player would be an ideal sibling for her. Rei loves toys and can play all day! She's treat motivated to go to her crate. She is crate trained and keeps it clean. Rei knows sit, paw, down and no, and is potty trained. She is strong so somebody who can teach her some good leash manners would be wonderful!I She behaves a lot like a typical boxer mix with high energy, so sweet and wiggly, and a huge goofball. She is so grateful for everything. If you talk to her she wants to give you lovins back, which could knock a smaller child over, so she'd do best with older children. She is good with my grandkids, who are 10 and 8. Rei can climb a chain link fence so she will require a privacy type fence or an electric fence!
Rei is about 6 yrs old and weighs about 60 lbs.

Adoption donation fee is $150 which it is tax-deductible and goes towards the care of homeless pets with Unchained Souls Canine Rescue.

Meet the Pet

If everyone and the pet included thinks it’s a good fit you will be able to bring the pet home at the meet and greet!

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with submitting an application, then we get our team to either approve or deny, and once that happens we will notify the adoptive family and either set up a meet or explain why it was denied. If the application is approved we have the foster families with our dogs reach out to get connected so the future family can ask more questions and receive more pictures and videos and set a time to meet the pup!

Go meet their pets

Once an application is approved, we will get a meet and greet set up, we tend to have adoption events once a month at the pet supplies plus in Kokomo, Indiana, but keep an eye on our Facebook page and watch for those events!

More about this rescue

Hello everyone! We are unchained souls canine rescue! We have made it a primary focus of our rescue organization to help animals that have a harder time finding a home, whether it be due to behaviors, such as extreme shyness, or maybe pets that need to be in a one on one type of homes, or maybe pets that have higher energy needs, we have made it our mission to help these pets find a forever family, even if it takes a little bit of extra time! We are very proud to say that we have taken lots of sweet babies from local shelter/struggled in a shelter environment and we have had amazing success putting them in foster homes fit for them with structure so we could figure out what type of family they needed and go from there! If we do get a dog that gives us a harder time, we have excellent trainers that we send our dogs to so we can give them their very best chance at finding a home. We absolutely do not euthanize for space and we hold our dogs until the proper family can be found. The directors have kept several dogs that were not fit to be part of the public and have successfully kept them safe as well! We take a lot of pride and keeping pets in the community safe all while helping dogs who need that extra bit of help!
