MAXIM

This classic German Shepherd is Maxim, or Max for short. He is 7 years old, neutered, heartworm negative and vaccinated.

Maxim is housebroken and a gentleman in the house when left alone- no chewing or tearing things up. Maxim likes to climb in the bed with his foster Mom and will sleep peacefully all night until it's time to get up for the day. He loves car rides, likes to stay near his person throughout the day and enjoys taking walks. Maxim is great on leash but will pull if he sees a cat, squirrel or other dog. His foster Mom has him on a harness for walks and is working on his reactiveness to other dogs. He is friendly with people and teens but hasn't been around small children. Max is not a big barker, unless he sees another dog. Max enjoys treats and has a good appetite.

We require an application. References are checked and a home visit is performed. Placement Director contacts the applicant and discusses the dogs in our program. There will be two meetings between the potential adoptive family and the dog before final transfer. We require a $400.00 adoption fee for Adult Dogs and a $450.00 adoption fee for puppies. This fee covers vaccines, labwork, microchip, and spay/neuter.

Sauver Des Chiens German Shepherd Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based 501(c)3 organization based in Texas. At this time we service Texas and Louisiana. Our passion and our mission is to rescue neglected, unwanted, and abused German Shepherd and Large Paw Dogs with the goal of finding them a new permanent and loving home. All dogs receive full veterinary care, including spay/neuter, positive training and necessary behavior modification before they are ready to adopt. These dogs come from stressful circumstances and are give a few weeks to de-compress before being offered for adoption.
