QUICK FACTS
Name: Maru
Age: Estimated to be 1 years old
Gender: Male (Neutered)
Breed: Jindo mix
Color: Brown
Weight: 9kg / 20 lbs
Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed
MY RESCUE STORY
My previous owner left me behind at a community center in a small city, and I was suddenly on my own. Thankfully, kind-hearted rescuers noticed my situation, made sure I was fed, and didn’t give up on me. With their help, I was brought to a care facility where I’m now safe, cared for, and patiently waiting to meet my forever family who will love and cherish me the way I deserve.
MY HEALTH
• Neutered & healthy with no known health issues
• All vaccinations up-to-date
MY PERSONALITY
I’m a very sweet, gentle boy, and volunteers and staff often say I look like a little sheep! With my small paws and soft personality, I really do remind people of one. I’m incredibly lovable and enjoy showing my sweet side to everyone I meet. I’m curious about toys and love exploring new things at my own pace. The team truly believes I’ll adjust beautifully to home life, and any family lucky enough to welcome me will gain a gentle, loving companion who brings calm and joy into their home.
MY SOCIAL SKILLS
· With People: I may be a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly with gentle words and tasty treats. I love snacks and will happily come up to you for treats and affection. I’m comfortable being picked up, and I often receive compliments on just how sweet and lovely I am.
· With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dog friends, but I like to take my time before jumping into play and prefer doing my own thing. I’m a true peacekeeper—if another dog gets pushy or rude, I calmly avoid the drama and walk away.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.
ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY
I have a lovely moderate energy level—I enjoy spending time outdoors and getting fresh air, then happily snuggle up indoors to rest once I’ve had my outdoor fun.
TRAINING & HABITS
I walk nicely on leash and do a wonderful job following my handler’s lead. I’m a very quiet pup who rarely barks and know how to rest calmly in my kennel. I prefer doing my potty outdoors, and while I may mark briefly in new environments, I settle in quickly once I feel safe and comfortable. I’m also respectful around food and don’t guard with people or other dogs.
MY IDEAL HOME
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
• A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself, and a stable environment.
• A family that is patient with me throughout and continue to provide me with basic training and socialization.
• A family that enjoys outdoor & indoor time together.
• A family that will love and cherish me forever.
SPECIAL NOTES
I’m a curious and sweet boy who may be a little cautious at first, but don’t let that initial shyness fool you—I have so much love to give! During my profile photoshoot, I happily leaned in for affection and cuddles with volunteers and staff. I’m a quiet, well-behaved boy with a calm energy that helps me adjust easily to new environments. I also have a big appetite—my eyes light up the moment I see food or treats! This makes me eager to please and easy to train, and I’m always excited to learn new things.
