My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Marinara!

If you aren't immediately charmed by the one-ear-up-one-ear-down look...who hurt you?

Marinara is a one year old lab mix that weighs just under 40lbs so he's a good middle-sized dog. Not big enough to take you for a ride if he gets the zoomies (and he permanently has the zoomies) but not small enough to, like, lose under the couch or something.

When we say that Marinara always has the zoomies, that is not an exaggeration. He is the happiest dog in the entire world. Everything is exciting all the time always, his brain is a bouncy ball just ping-ponging off the insides of his skull, and when you stare into his eyes, you can hear carnival music.

If your brain has difficulties producing its own serotonin, Marinara can help.

Marinara would be exceedingly easy to kidnap because he has no concept of "stranger danger". He wouldn't even need to be lured with candy; prolonged eye contact would work just as well. If you're looking for a guard dog, keep looking, because Marinara loves everyone. Matter of fact, you're already best friends with him...you just don't know it yet.

He does well with other dogs (obviously) but make sure the energy level is a match because his boundaries aren't great...or existent at all, really. He is afraid of cats because of course he is but would be fine with dog-friendly cats that won't bully him. Kids 10+ would be best, especially if they'll play with him (he loves to play keep away with balls and plushies).
