When Loki was first picked up, he was scared and overwhelmed. In that fear, he reacted and bit the officer. It is believed to have been fear-based. Imagine being grabbed, confused, and terrified. That single moment should not define his life.
Since arriving at the shelter, Loki has shown staff who he really is:

🐾 Dog friendly
🐾 Happy, energetic hound boy
He has been nothing but sweet with staff. He wants to engage. He wants to play. He wants connection.
Loki is not an aggressive dog. He was a scared dog in a stressful moment. And now he could pay for that moment with his life.
Hounds like Loki are loyal, loving, and thrive in active homes. He would do wonderful with structure, exercise, and someone who understands that fear can look like defense when a dog is overwhelmed.
He deserves to be judged by who he is now — not by one frightened intake moment.
