My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🚨 EUTH LISTED – MOUSE IS TRAUMATIZED AND TERRIFIED 🚨

Mouse came into the shelter as a stray with Frito. When she was picked up, she had puncture wounds on her front legs, face, and ears — consistent with being attacked.

She has already survived something awful.

And now she is facing euthanasia.

Mouse is very sweet and dog friendly, but she is absolutely terrified in the shelter. The noise, the smells, the chaos — it’s too much for her fragile heart right now.

Staff had to carry her through the shelter just to take her photo. When placed in a quiet room, she immediately curled up and fell asleep. Not because she doesn’t care — but because she is exhausted and overwhelmed.

She is not aggressive.
She is not “bad.”
She is traumatized.

🐾 Very sweet
🐾 Dog friendly
🐾 Shuts down in loud environments
🐾 Needs a calm, quiet place to decompress

Mouse needs a foster or adopter who understands fear and will give her time. She needs soft voices, slow movements, and a safe space to heal — physically and emotionally.

She survived an attack. Please don’t let the shelter be what ends her story.

Sensitive dogs like Mouse don’t show well in kennels. But in a home? With safety? She will bloom.

Who can give this gentle, wounded girl the quiet second chance she so desperately needs? 💔🐾
