Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾 Meet Gregor 🐾
Gregor is a 7-year-old male German Shepherd with a calm, gentle soul. This handsome boy is incredibly laid back and happiest when he’s near his people. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will follow you from room to room just to be close, Gregor is your guy.
During the day, he does wonderfully in his kennel while his foster mom is at work. In fact, we’ve learned that his kennel is his safe space. It’s important that Gregor always has access to his kennel in his forever home so he can go in whenever he wants to relax and feel secure.
Gregor enjoys having foster dog siblings around, though he’s more of an observer than a participant—he’s perfectly content to sit back and watch the fun. He also lives peacefully with cat foster siblings and respectfully lets them be.
Gregor would thrive in a home that appreciates a steady, low-key companion who simply wants love, comfort, and a place to call his own.

More about this rescue
Founded in 2005, we are a volunteer home-based rescue group run by dedicated volunteers. Our dogs live in volunteer homes as family members with the same love, care and attention they would receive in an adoptive home.
We provide training, socialization, vet care and evaluation for all of the dogs in our care. All of our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
GSDRI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization licensed by the state of Iowa.
