Meet Roxy! 🐾

Roxy is a beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd who’s looking for a loving new home after being surrendered due to her owner’s medical issues. This sweet girl has so much love to give and is ready to be someone’s loyal best friend.

Roxy is friendly with most dogs and even cats, making her a great candidate for a multi-pet household. She’s fully potty trained, loves kids, and has a gentle, affectionate nature. While she tends to prefer women over men, she warms up with patience—and once she trusts you, she’s all about the cuddles and pets.

Our staff has been impressed with Roxy’s manners: she’s easy to leash, well-behaved on walks, and knows several commands including sit, shake, and stay. She’s also a fan of playtime and especially enjoys a good game of fetch 🎾.

Roxy is smart, loving, and eager to please—she’ll thrive in a home that offers affection, consistency, and plenty of quality time together. If you’re looking for a devoted companion with a big heart, Roxy might be your perfect match.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
