My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rayne is losing her home because her owner is moving into an apartment that does not accept dogs.  She is a husky mix who is 5 years old.  As you can see in her video she is very responsive to her current owner, she will even walk away from her food bowl when he talks to her.  She is currently in Texas and we are trying to help her find a new home so that she isn't surrendered to a kill shelter.

Rayne is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.  We did just recently find out that she is heartworm positive so she will stay in TX until her treatments are finished; but she is available for adoption.  Lets find this girl a new home!

  • Personality: friendly, affectionate
  • Good with: people.  Has not been tested around young children, other dogs or cats yet.
  • Training: unknown at this time
  • Estimated age: 5 years
  • Weight: we don't have an exact weight but she looks to be on the larger side and would benefit from losing a few pounds to get to a healthier weight
  • Medical: vetted, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, receiving treatment for heartworm
  • Location: Currently located in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next transport.

More about this rescue

Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, volunteer-run, foster-based Rescue (no facility).

Our focus is to save the lives of dogs and puppies in high-kill shelters in the south and local owner surrenders.

Our mission is to place unwanted and in-danger animals in homes, regardless of age or breed. To educate the public and help stop animal cruelty and neglect.

We don't discriminate against potential adopters on any basis or for any reason. We approve potential adopters if they are and the animal they applied for is a good fit.

Extra Info.-
*If a dog is listed on Adopt a Pet, they are still available, and we accept applications. We approve applications on the best fit for both dog and family.
*We take our best guess on breed and size when fully grown.
* Our dogs are adopted from their foster home or straight from transport from kill shelters in the south.
*We always need foster homes so we can continue to save dogs. Don't hesitate to contact us if you are interested in fostering. Or fill out the foster application using this link - https://form.jotform.com/210257395409155
