My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chance is a 6-year-old sweetheart who loves to chat, snuggle, and spend time with his people. Friendly and affectionate, he thrives on companionship and will happily curl up in your lap for attention.

Chance was found behind a cheese factory in Little Chute during a very difficult time in his life. A kind Good Samaritan rescued him and shared his story online so he could get help. When he was picked up, it was clear he was badly injured — but despite the pain, he remained incredibly gentle and loving.

After being brought into rescue, it was discovered that Chance had a microchip, but sadly the contact numbers were no longer in service.

An urgent veterinary visit revealed a severely broken leg. After some complications and swelling from the initial splint, Chance underwent surgery to amputate the right rear leg. He handled it like a champ, and his surgery and recovery were a success. During this treatment Chance was also diagnosed with FeLV. He is very healthy, so hard to believe he has this diagnosis. Tripod life doesn’t slow him down — it just adds to what makes him special. Because he is FeLV-positive, this kitty would love to be your one-and-only feline companion, soaking up all the attention and affection ?? FeLV-positive cats can live happy lives with regular care — they just need the right environment.

Chance is the definition of resilient. He’s sweet, talkative, and happiest when he’s close to his humans. All he wants now is a safe, loving home where he can share his endless affection.
