My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Olympics aren't over yet -- and we've got a silver medal who might as well be solid gold: Yuri! Silver Yuri is a true sweetheart, who loves snuggling up, getting involved in your day-to-day, and hopping into every possible crevice of your apartment. She is ready to be your bestie and your confidante, and as a gentle soul, would make a great addition to a household with other pets or children.

One of a small core of regular feline visitors, Yuri started coming around the window of a caring neighbor in Brownsville who would put the food on the windowsill for hungry strays.  When the neighbor opened the window one cold day ahead of the big snow in January, Yuri waltzed inside and made herself right at home on the couch. Since then, she's been a big fan of curling up under the covers and exploring every surface of her foster home.

Yuri is approximately 3 years old, neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. She is negative for FeLV and FIV. She has been dewormed and treated for fleas.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application, after which they can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt and their application is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for an adoption fee to help us continue our work.
