Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I’m Hayes! I’m a handsome Husky Mix with one brown eye and one blue, so yes… I’ve got the looks and the personality to match. I’m full of playful puppy energy and have a whole lot of love to give. I’m an affectionate, cuddly, outgoing guy with a happy personality and plenty to say. If you like a dog who will “chat” with you about his day, I’m your boy!
I absolutely love the outdoors. Hiking? Yes please. Walks with the kids? The best. I even love playing with the resident dog in my foster home. I’m all about adventure and being part of the action. As for cats, I’m pretty indifferent... I just ignore them and go about my day.
I get so excited about humans that sometimes I forget my manners and try to jump up to say hello. But I’m learning that I get way better pets and attention when I sit or stand calmly. I’m a smart guy and catching on quickly, especially when treats are involved.
If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate adventure buddy with striking eyes and a heart full of loyalty, I’m ready to be your sidekick for life.
Love,
Hayes

More about this shelter
We are a small shelter that rescues pets from local impounds whose time is up, and would otherwise be euthanized. We only have 9 dog kennels and 26 cat kennels; as many of 80% of the animals in our care are located in foster homes throughout the community at any time. We are very limited on space within our shelter and often, we can't take in owner surrenders, but will do our best to help give guidance about rehoming pets.
We offer several services besides adoption, including microchip clinics and pet-friendly rental housing listings.
We are the only shelter in the FM area that rescues both cats and dogs, so without our help, hundreds of dogs and cats would be euthanized each year in local pounds.
