Meet Ryder! Unfortunately Ryder has been adopted and returned to the shelter twice. He spent less than a week in each home, and both previous adopters stated that Ryder is "too much of a puppy"--he is an excitable, playful, energetic boy. Ryder has spent several months in the shelter, and he is still quite young, so his ideal family will be prepared to give him structure, training, and most importantly time to decompress and learn what life is like outside of the shelter. Ryder does well with both dogs and cats, and would enjoy having another doggy companion at home. He is an affectionate boy and loves everyone he meets; though because of his excitable and playful nature he would do best in a home with older children. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Ryder home. If you are interested in meeting Ryder, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit.
