My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Delia! 🖤🤍🐾
Delia is a lovely tuxedo girl with a soft, gentle personality and the sweetest little face. She’s a very nice cat who enjoys calm attention and quiet companionship. Delia isn’t pushy — she’s the kind of kitty who happily stays nearby, keeping you company and soaking up affection once she feels comfortable.

With a little time and love, Delia shows her affectionate side and becomes a devoted companion. She would thrive in a caring home where she can relax, feel secure, and be appreciated for the gentle, loving girl she is. Delia is ready to find her forever family and settle into a life filled with warmth and kindness. 🖤🤍

Additional adoption info

You can view our available animals online or by visiting the shelter during regular business hours. Our knowledgeable and compassionate staff are here to guide you through the adoption process, which includes completing an application and having a conversation to ensure you’re fully informed and prepared to welcome a new pet into your home.

If you find an animal on our website that you’re interested in, we kindly ask that you visit the shelter to meet them in person before submitting your application. This helps ensure the best possible match for both you and the animal.

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
