My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rajah is a bit of a grump, but we can’t blame him. This boy has been through a lot since his owner has passed, and he just wants some stability in his life. He will his at you upon meeting him, but don’t take it to heart…he is just scared of yet another change in his life. He gets along with other cats and can coexist peacefully with the right introduction. Remember, it’s all about a slow introduction. He couldn't care less about dogs but will hide from them.

Rajah is a high stress kitty, which means any new change will cause him to shut down and hide. It will take him a couple weeks to adjust to his new home. It helps having other cats, that makes him feel more at home. Rajah is an "on his terms" type of cat. He loves pets but will let you know when he's had enough by taking a swipe at you. He is a great companion for the right home who understands that he just likes his space.

Additional adoption info

Petty Pawz Rescue reserves the right to deny adoption applications if we do not believe the family or animal is a good fit for you. We stand by our animal's and their safety and only want to set them up for success! Petty Pawz Rescue is operating with less than 3 people, so it may take longer than expected to hear back with your application status.

Go meet their pets

We generally host adoption events at our headquarters (contact us for address) every Saturday and Sunday from 9-2pm. We can also make arrangements throughout the week if you are not available to visit. We are foster based and have to align your schedule to the foster's schedule in order for you to meet the animals. We do not have a facility you can visit at this time.

More about this rescue

Petty Pawz Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization focused on rescuing and assisting animal shelters that are overcrowded or animals considered high-risk. We do not accept owner surrenders at this time as our focus is animals that are in immediate danger. We specialize in pregnant animals, orphaned animals, senior dogs, or animals needing medical assistance. We are foster based and can only accept what we have availability for foster wise. We take in both cats and dogs, big or small! Our mission is to prevent the overpopulation in animal shelters and to find loving forever homes for the animals in our custody!
