Don't let her disabilities fool you—Whisper is a fearless, ball of fluff who proves that limitations are just in the mind! This deaf and 90% blind husky puppy navigates her world through touch, vibration, and pure determination, and she's absolutely thriving.
The Good Stuff:
Whisper is a dream puppy who's already mastered crate training (settles calmly after just 10 minutes!), potty training (even uses puppy pads as backup when needed), and basic commands through touch signals. She's smart as a whip and LOVES learning new things—agility tunnels are her jam! This girl is social butterfly extraordinaire: adores kids of all ages, gets along beautifully with dogs big and small, and peacefully coexists with cats, goats, and chickens. She's independent yet affectionate, entertaining herself with toys but loving cuddles on your chest for naps.
Special Perks:
Grooming is a breeze—she'll sit for an hour being pampered and actually loves bath time, nail trims, and paw handling (rare for a husky!)
Car rides? She's a sleepy angel every time
Zero resource guarding, zero separation anxiety, zero fear of anything (because she can't hear or see what might scare other dogs!)
Surprisingly quiet for a husky (wonder why? 😉)
Knows sit, down, and touch via hand signals
What She Needs:
Whisper needs an active, patient family who can continue her training journey and provide moderate daily exercise through play sessions and enrichment activities. A slow feeder is recommended for mealtimes. Her ideal home understands that she navigates by feeling vibrations and staying close to her people or fellow pets. She's a puppy, so redirect that chewing to appropriate toys and you're golden!

This brave girl follows you around, adores being held on her back like a baby, and has an unexpected love for fresh spinach! She's proof that the best things come in uniquely wrapped packages. 🐾💙

Peace Love and Paws Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected and abused animals. Peace Love and Paws Rescue is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption.
This questionnaire is designed to help Peace Love and Paws Rescue determine if a specific dog is the right match for you and your household. All adopting and fostering parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Peace Love and Paws Rescue reserves the right to deny any adoption or fostering based on answers to this questionnaire and/or interviews prior to adoptions and placing foster homes!

We are three passionate, animal loving dog moms who met through various volunteer efforts at local rescues in the Detroit area. We continued talking outside of volunteering and quickly came to realize that we all had similar goals, to help as many animals in need that we possibly could. In the Detroit area, there are so many animals who need homes, medical attention, and love.
We decided that we wanted to be able to do more to help these animals. We are raising funds through selling merchandise, fundraising, donations, and supporting local community events. All funds raised will be used to establish a nonprofit status, fund the medical needs of local dogs, and find shelter animals their furever home.
