My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoey's personality is as big as her stature, and she is sure to bring joy and smiles to her forever family. She can be a bit timid at first, but once she gets comfortable, Zoey is affectionate and sweet and goofy. She loves her stuffie toys, especially her chicken, and will bring it to you with her tail and whole body wagging. She loves a big soft bed and a good butt scratch.

She walks well on her leash and enjoys all the smells of the outdoor world. She is house trained. Please come meet Zoey and let her show you how wonderful she is.

Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption.

More about this rescue

The Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League, Inc. (MAGDRL) was organized in 1979 to serve the seven states of the Mid-Atlantic region. It now covers NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE, VA, DC, and WV.

The organization is a DC corporation and has a charitable tax-exemption under code 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

MAGDRL is staffed completely by volunteers. Therefore, 100% of the funds donated to our organization goes to helping our Great Danes.

We do not have a central location. Our dogs live in the homes of volunteers who have offered to be foster families for our dogs.
