Meet Dog Vader: Dog Vader is estimated to be about 2 years old (as of February 2026) and what looks like a miniature Rottweiler - potentially rottie / kelpie mix (best guess) that weighs 15 pounds. Dog Vader was a frequent visitor at a park in suburban Memphis and it took a team of park goers and Animal Control Officers to catch him and then he was taken into a dog shelter. Dog Vader is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Dog Vader is very affectionate and loves to be near someone. At the dog shelter, Dog Vader was an unwilling resident in some respects. Dog Vader had a tendency to not want to come back inside from the exercise yard once released for a potty break, but if he had a lap available to climb into, he was happy to come in and snuggle up. Dog Vader gets along well with other dogs and is a great companion. Dog Vader is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need some patience while adjusting to a new method. We would love for Dog Vader to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can play freely. Dog Vader is up to date on his shots and neutered. If you are interested in adding this long-legged friend into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application.
CURRENT LOCATION: Tennessee, awaiting transport to PA
