Are you looking for a devoted, adventure-seeking partner to bring fun energy into your life? Jaguar wants to meet you! He is a one-year-old, 45# handsome, joyful, bright Border Collie mix (DNA test pending) seeking a forever home that will appreciate his happy outlook.
Jaguar lives with multiple dogs in his foster home and would enjoy a patient canine companion. He would also be happy as a solo pup. Since being sprung from a rural shelter in northern Minnesota, his focus has been on house manners, basic training and just being a dog. Jag learns quickly, showing lots of intelligence with a willingness to please. He will thrive with structure, obedience classes and one-on-one time with his chosen person.
Matching his love of life, Jaguar’s big personality absolutely shines with human connection. He is tall and athletic, with talent to excel as an outdoor enthusiast, hiking buddy, and probably many dog sports. Food and toy-motivated, confident without being a bully, good indoor off-switch, crate and house trained. He’s ready to jump in the car and check out new destinations anytime.
The ideal home for Jaguar has herding breed experience and enjoys keeping active dogs happy. They are affectionate and want to include their dog in everything they do. Older kids are a good fit. Jaguar is suited to a single family dwelling, with preference for a fenced yard. He was originally surrendered for chasing livestock and will chase kitties if given the opportunity.
Jaguar’s smile and happy eyes tell you all you need to know. If you’re looking for a strong bond with a very special dog, APPLY to adopt Jaguar! He is being fostered in Stanchfield, MN.
As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Jaguar's adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. All of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
