If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We are looking for a loving, calm home for our sweet terrier mix 14-year-old boy. This has been an incredibly difficult decision for our family, but we want him to have more time, attention, and comfort than we’re currently able to give.
He is crate trained and potty trained, though due to his age he may have occasional accidents. When he has easy access to the outdoors, he prefers to go outside and does very well. He is extremely quiet and does not bark at all. He is gentle, great with kids, and has a very calm, low-energy personality.
He loves to cuddle and be near his people, but he’s also perfectly content relaxing and sleeping in his crate for much of the day. He will sniff other dogs but usually doesn’t show much interest beyond that. He is afraid of cats. He will just avoid them.
