My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sponge Bob — part Beagle? Part Basset? Part Dachshund. Maybe a dash of low-rider mystery mix? We’ll never know for sure, but we do know this 24-pound fellow is 100% adorable and 110% heart.

This long-bodied, short-legged explorer was living life on the open road before finding his way to us. After all that solo adventuring, he’s still a bit cautious when it comes to new people and places. Can you blame him? He’s used to calling all the shots!

Sponge Bob can feel unsure when he feels trapped or thinks someone might grab him, so a home without young children will help him feel safe and understood. Give him a chance to settle in, move slow, and show him you’re kind — and you’ll be rewarded with a goofy, loyal, and loving little shadow ready to share his next great adventure by your side.

He’s proof that sometimes the best breeds are “who-knows-what” and the best companions are the ones who take a little time to bloom.
