Lights! Camera! Action! Meet our resident web star: Sunshine. You can find him on
his foster’s blog eating Churro cat snacks smeared on plastic wrap tied around her head.
Sunshine is short haired kitten and has a shiny black coat. He had a hard start to life,
living in a neighborhood feral colony, scrounging for food to survive. When he was
captured, he was under weight and scared of everything and everybody and showed his
displeasure by hissing every time someone looked at him – or tried to pick him up.
Luckily, Sunshine started his new life with two friends who taught him that good food
and humans are not that bad. Even though his friends were great, it took him a little
while to give up the hissing and now only reacts with LOUD
puuuuurrrrrrrrrrrs…………. Sunshine discovered sleeping next to his foster is the best spot n the house and wakes his foster up with purrs and gentle pats.
He does love the spotlight and has quickly learned to place himself within arm’s length
of his foster for petting and especially attention! Sunshine would love to join your family!
Interested in one of our cats/dogs? First step: Fill out the required adoption application. We do not adopt to anyone living outside of the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area. All our cats/dogs will be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested (dogs-age appropriate), FeLV/FIV test (cat/litter), microchipped, and current on vaccinations.
We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on personal experiences with the animal. These animals live in foster homes with us, so we are familiar with their habits and behaviors. Home visits may be required prior to adoption approval.

Meet some of our adoptable at the Frisco PetSmart Adopt-A-Pet center Friday-Sunday. Adoption counselors are available onsite at PetSmart most Saturdays & Sundays, 12-4 p.m. to conduct meet and greets and onsite adoptions. Please complete an online adoption application and someone will contact with you.

Once the app is reviewed and interview conducted, the application will be approved if it is found the animal and adopter are a good match.
Sign Adoption Contract
Final step is to sign the contract, pay the adoption fee, and take your new furry family member home.
