Indie and Peachy
Update: In only four weeks they have come a long way- our friends just were here to play cards and indie was rubbing on one of them and let him pet him and really enjoyed it and even Peachy came out and enjoyed some ear rubs from our friends.
Indie and Peachy are a fabulous and very touching kitty couple. When I first brought them home to foster them, they were scared and hid under the bed. But soon, Indie’s big kitty heart and love of chin scratches, as well as ear and belly rubs, got the better of him and he decided to come out of his hiding spot and slowly let me pet him. Now, he is very excited every time he sees me, lies next to me on the couch while I am working, and rubs his soft head against me while purring loudly and happily. He is a very social kitty, but still sometimes afraid of quick movements or when I stand over him and reach out. However, I believe that with time he will learn to fully trust a deserving and loving human and be completely comfortable in their presence.
Peachy, is a very sweet kitty who needs time to adjust and trust. She’s still not comfortable with me rubbing her head, but every morning when I come downstairs to greet them, she does her little “good morning” dance with her tail up in the air and her back curved, rubbing her head against me while walking in circles and making biscuits. Every day she gets more comfortable with me petting her, and I believe that with time she’ll overcome her shyness and trust a human who is patient and loving.
Both absolutely love wet food, chasing treats, and playing with catnip toys. They’re very complementary in their personalities and are very bonded to each other. With a quiet home (probably no dogs, kids, or other cats), they will thrive and make their pawrents very happy, enriching their lives.
