Cora is a lovely 2-year-old, 35lb red bi beauty currently fostered in Gaithersburg, MD. This sweet girl arrived as a stray but has quickly adjusted to indoor life and is discovering just how wonderful it is to have a soft bed and loving people of her own.
Cora is a happy, affectionate girl who absolutely adores attention and cuddles. She bonds closely with her people and thrives on love and reassurance. Despite likely living a neglected life before rescue. She arrived with an untreated ear infection, internal parasites, and heartworms. But Cora has proven to be an absolute trooper. She is already receiving treatment and is well on her way to a clean bill of health.
Cora has done wonderfully with the adults in her foster home. However, she is not suited for a home with young children. Her foster is currently working with her on resource guarding and some reactivity, and she is making progress. Because of this, Cora will need an experienced and committed owner who understands the importance of continued structure, consistency, and positive training.
She would do best as the only dog in the home while she continues building confidence and skills. With the right guidance and a patient, dedicated family, Cora has so much love to give and will blossom into an incredibly loyal companion.
If you’re ready to invest in this special girl and help her continue her journey, Cora is ready to give her whole heart in return.
