My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mojave!

He came into our rescue from the inner city streets. It has taken him some time to adjust to indoor life, but he seems very happy now.

Mojave is about 2 - 3 years old. He loves to play with his toys and lay in the sun watching all the wildlife out the window.

Mojave likes to be pet (especially while he eats and gets treats). He purrs a lot and is very affectionate!

He is still on guard after being outside on his own for so long, so he lets you know when he’s had enough attention. His foster mom would not recommend a very active home or a home with children. An adult-only home that has time and patience to let him adjust and feel safe would be ideal.

Mojave has had no reaction to his foster family's resident dogs, so his foster mom thinks he would be okay with a dog in the home. His foster mom is not sure how he would do sharing a home with other cats.

Mojave is ready for his forever home!

Mojave was born around February 16, 2024, and is currently being fostered in Thomaston. He is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org.

Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.

Meet the Pet

We are a foster-based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our volunteers.

**Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are offered at a reduced fee in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Foster and Forever Pet Rescue!

NOTE: For the safety of our cats and adopter’s children, families with children under 5 years of age will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Go meet their pets

All of our pets reside in foster homes. We do not have a shelter. Once an application is approved (for any cat), arrangements can be made to meet the cat of your choice.

More about this rescue

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services and all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies, and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes. For additional information, visit our web site at www.fosterandforever.org, and be sure to check us out on Facebook and Instagram.
