If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Jojo is a female purebred Blue Merle Queensland Heeler rescued from an abusive home at 9 months old. She is now 5 years old (DOB: Aug 21, 2021). She loves creature comforts and is a true pillow queen. Jojo is very affectionate with her people and lives for butt scratches. She enjoys squeaky balls, playing fetch, and interactive play.
She loves water but won’t swim—she prefers getting her feet wet, blowing bubbles, and being splashed when the family swims. Jojo is food-motivated and currently on a vet-approved diet; bloodwork confirms she is otherwise perfectly healthy.
Jojo will do best in a calm home with no young children, babies, or other animals. She is fear-based reactive with unfamiliar people and dogs in her home and may growl or posture when scared, though she has never bitten. In neutral environments like the dog park, she does well with other dogs. Jojo wants to be alpha but is a sensitive girl at heart who needs patient, experienced owners and a predictable routine.
