My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Have you ever had the good fortune to share your life with a Turkish Van kitty?  If you have, then you know exactly how amazing these kitties are.  Our Fuego had a sad beginning where he was abandoned with his siblings in a city burn pile.  Luckily, the city employee heard squeaky meows and dug them out.  Barely a couple of days old, Fuego and his sisters entered foster care where they were lovingly bottle-fed and adored to this day.  The raggedy, dirty litter grew into some of the most beautiful, loving kitties ever.
Fuego is the only male in his litter.  He grew bigger and faster than his sisters and ended up protecting them against every other bully in the foster home.  Barely bigger than a fist, he showcased his protectiveness when incoming kitties try to pick on his smaller sisters.  His favorite sister is little Lua, who is as gentle and beautiful as a snowflake.  She always gets snuggle time with this big fellow whenever a comfy cushion presents itself.

More about this rescue

Our Mission Statement:
To match every cat or kitten within our foster program with a permanent, loving family.

We are a small network of rescue volunteers based in the DFW area who are banding together to foster and adopt out rescued cats and kittens!

Our cats and kittens come to us under a variety of conditions: Some of our cats were rescued from hoarding situations or surrendered by their owners, while others were found by good Samaritans after being dumped and abandoned. Some of our mother cats were tossed out, pregnant and malnourished, because their owners never spayed them and did not want litters of kittens in their homes. Our luckiest kittens were born inside our fosters' homes and have known nothing but love and affection from humans. Each of our cats and kittens has been through a big journey and has a unique story to tell.

We all work towards a common goal of finding these sweet, loving cats a wonderful forever home where they will be cherished and pampered for the rest of their lives.
