Hi, I'm Gemma! I'm a petite 2-year-old weighing just over 5 pounds. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but once I feel safe, I'm a very sweet and gentle girl.
I'm not a big fan of being picked up and prefer to keep all four paws on the ground. I feel most comfortable when you sit quietly and let me come to you. I love gentle pets, especially chin scratches and behind-the-ear rubs, and when I'm really content, my purr can get surprisingly loud for such a tiny cat. I don't scratch or bite, just the occasional soft love nibble when I'm enjoying attention.
I spend a lot of my day napping, and between naps I love sitting at the window watching the birds at the feeder outside. I could and do spend hours observing them. In the evenings, I get the zoomies and enjoy chasing my bell ball. I'm happy playing on my own, but once I'm comfortable, I also enjoy playing together.
I would do best in a quiet home without young children and with someone patient who understands that shy cats just need a little time to build trust. Once I do, I'll be a loyal and loving companion!
