Bakie loves a good cuddle as much as a playful romp, and he’s always ready to make every day feel like a party of puppy love. With his happy-go-lucky spirit, mischievous sparkle, and adorable enthusiasm for life (and treats, all the delicious treats!), he’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a skip in your step.

IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOME
SIZE: 27 lbs. and looking to get to a lower healthy-weight gradually.
HOME TYPE: House or Townhouse- Bakie can be vocal at times, so would need to go to a home without shared walls.
CHILDREN: Yes- Mid-aged or older children (young children would not be a good fit). Bakie can be jumpy and pushy at times.
CATS & SMALL ANIMALS: Yes- cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.
OTHER DOGS: Yes- Dogs potentially compatible
ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL: High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.
HUMAN COMPATIBILTY: First time dog owner possible as long as prepared to work on difficult behaviours such as separation anxiety.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS: At least one in-person training session to work on socialization, basic training, manners and possible separation anxiety.
HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER: Bakie is very fun loving and enjoys people.
FAVOURITE THINGS: Bakie loves treats and scratches!
