My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sploot 💕
Sploot is a gentle little soul who is still learning that the world is a safe and loving place. Her foster momma says she can be a bit skittish and timid at first, but underneath that shy exterior is a truly sweet girl just waiting to blossom.
Sploot may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, her soft and loving nature really shines. She enjoys tasty treats (they’re definitely the way to her heart!) and is perfectly content entertaining herself with toys and quiet playtime. She doesn’t demand constant attention and would do wonderfully in a calm home where she can build confidence at her own pace.
This special girl is looking for a patient, understanding family who will give her the time and reassurance she needs to feel safe. With love, kindness, and a few yummy treats along the way, Sploot will reward you with her gentle companionship and sweet presence.
If you believe that the quiet ones are the most special, Sploot might just be your perfect match. 🐾💖

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
