My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cinderella is a courtesy post with the Richardson Humane Society.  If you are interested in her, please fill out an application and you will be directed to her foster family.

Hi, I’m Cinderella, a one-year-old German Shepherd mix with a soft beige coat, a sleek athletic build, and a personality that lights up every room I enter. I’m a certified social butterfly who adores meeting new people and making furry friends. If enthusiasm were an Olympic sport, I’d already have the gold .

I’m fully house trained and proud of it. I’ll let you know when I need to go out by heading to the door, and if you’ve got a doggy door, I’m a total pro at using it on my own. Nighttime accidents? Not my style. I can hold it all night like the big girl I am.

Playtime is my love language. Interactive toys and a good game of fetch make my tail go into turbo mode, but my absolute favorite thing in the world is heading to the park to socialize with other dogs. I’m playful, friendly, and gentle with other dogs and cats, and I bring the good vibes wherever I go.

I’m still polishing my puppy manners. Sometimes when I get excited, I grab things with my mouth. Totally age-appropriate and something I’m actively working on. Because of that, I’d do best in a home without young children while I continue learning and growing.

I’m dreaming of an active, fun-loving family who enjoys adventures, playtime, and helping a smart, eager pup become her best self. In return, I promise loyalty, affection, and a lifetime of tail wags and companionship.

If you’re looking for a joyful, loving adventure buddy with a heart of gold, I might just be your Cinderell

More about this rescue

Richardson Humane Society was chartered as a 501(c)3 Non Profit Texas corporation in 2000. We are an all volunteer group and have grown to more than 100 volunteers. As of 2019, we have rescued and re-homed over 2400 homeless pets.

Mission Statement
The purpose of this society is to rescue and re-home adoptable pets, educate our community regarding the prevention of cruelty to animals, the promotion of animal population control through advocation of spay/neuter programs, and the extension of humane education.

It is the policy of the society to provide humane care and treatment for animals needing protection in the area served by the society; to seek to return lost animals to their owners; to seek suitable homes for animals without owners; to promote spay/neuter in the community; to encourage a network of foster homes for adoptable animals, to aid in encouraging adequate conditions in our city shelter and to educate this community in living with their pet and being responsible pet owners, i.e.-education on health, training and behavioral care, as well as ways to recognize abuse, neglect or cruelty. In its care and disposition of animals, the society shall maintain the highest level of care and integrity in placement, care and education.

We will be active in our community educating the children in our schools, bringing the community together with fundraisers and pet friendly events and ensuring each pet owner has all the resources/information necessary to care for their pet.
