Fluffnugget
Male | ~10 months old | 28 lbs
Fluffnugget is one of our younger pups and is still very much a work-in-progress. He came from a rough start and we believe he may be inbred, which has contributed to his challenges with handling and confidence.
At this time, Fluffnugget does not enjoy being handled and will need a significant amount of patient, consistent socialization. Picking him up was a wrestling match, and he made it very clear that hands-on interaction is currently stressful for him. Because of this, a no-kids home is a must.
With other dogs, Fluffnugget will likely do okay, though he can be a bit bossy with his littermates — something we often see in young pups who haven’t yet learned appropriate social skills. A calm, confident dog in the home may help guide him, but slow introductions will be important.
Fluffnugget is not a beginner dog. He needs an experienced, understanding adopter who is willing to give him the time, structure, and space he needs to build trust at his own pace. With the right environment and a lot of patience, this little guy has the potential to grow — but he will require commitment and realistic expectations.
If you’re someone who believes in the underdogs and understands that progress doesn’t happen overnight, Fluffnugget may be the challenge you’re ready for.
