This helps Cody's Friends Rescue with pet care costs.
Hannah is a 9-year-old long-haired Miniature Dachshund who came to Cody's Friends Rescue after her owner died, leaving 4 beautiful Dachshunds behind. Hannah is now in a foster home with one of them, Lily. We would decribe Hannah as gentle & devoted!
Hannah is a soft-hearted, sensitive little girl with the kindest eyes. She may take a little time to warm up, but once she feels safe, her loyalty and sweetness truly shine.
She prefers to stay where she can see her people and will quietly follow you from room to room. Hannah isn’t demanding — she simply enjoys being nearby. She can be startled by loud or sudden noises and would do best in a calm, patient home that will give her the time she needs to build confidence.
The beautiful thing about Hannah is that once she trusts you, she relaxes deeply and settles well. She sleeps through the night and has been adjusting steadily in her foster home.
Hannah will use pee pads indoors and also does well going potty in the backyard. She is respectful outside — no excessive barking and she responds nicely when it’s time to come back in.
Hannah shares a close and comforting bond with her sister, Lily. They often sleep side by side and look to each other for reassurance. However, Hannah has shown that she is capable of building secure attachments with her humans as well. With a patient and loving home, she could likely adjust either with Lily or on her own.
If you’re looking for a quiet, loyal companion who bonds deeply and loves in a gentle way, Hannah may be your perfect match.
