If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Leah is sweetheart, 7-8 mo. old, from the Lee County Animal Shelter. She's house trained & crate trained. She's super smart but still needs some work with manners, She picks up things really quick w/ consistency. She can sit, down & can do middle if focused. She still needs work with the leash. (we have a fenced yard so we don't take her on many walks) She's good with cats but loves to play rough sometimes. She's not food aggressive. She loves to chew so toys are a must. She hasn't tried to chew much else. Im not sure how she's with other dogs, but when we were in training I was able to get her to sit next to me and just watch them without responding w/treats & getting her to focus. She goes in the crate with a milk bone and a prompt of go to bed (after you sit next to her and give her a kiss first)
She will be coming with everything we have: crate, crate bedding, dog bed, toys, treats, food and water bowls and any food. I believe she's up to date with all shots.
