My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leo is a 7 pound, 7 year old Maltese mix. Sweet and cuddly, quiet and calm. He is housebroken, good with other dogs and oh so soft! He and his brother, Max, are bonded and need to be adopted together. Leo is up to date on his vaccines and already neutered.

We are only accepting applications for Leo and Max together, and they are available at www.chesed-rescue.org/adoptions. We background and vet check all applicants and are looking for stable homes.

Applications are online at www.chesed-rescue.org. All applicants are background and vet checked. We are looking for stable homes.

Meet the Pet

Approved applicants are invited to meet the dog or cat and see if we have a match. If so, next is a home visit & introduction to other pets

You must FIRST fill out an online adoption application to be considered to adopt one of our dogs or cats.

Adoption fees range from $75.00 to $400 for a fixed, blood-tested, vaccinated cat/kitten, and $200-$700 for a dog. This includes all age appropriate medical care and microchipping.

More about this rescue

Chesed Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted animals. “Chesed” is often translated as “loving kindness”. Acts qualify as “chesed” when they are motivated by a spirit of generosity, not obligation.

Chesed is a small rescue, where we get to know each animal as an individual. Our placements focus on not just finding excellent homes, but excellent homes that are the right fit for each pet. Our adoption criteria is strict. We work hard to get these pets to safety, we donate many hours to their care, and will not settle for anything less that a great home for their future.

In addition to our adoption and education programs, we manage the Kobi center, which provides those less fortunate or those on a fixed income with necessary pet supplies, food and medications.
