Their adoption process

You must FIRST fill out an online adoption application to be considered to adopt one of our dogs or cats.

Applications can be found at: www.chesed-rescue.org

Adoption fees range from $75.00 to $400 for a fixed, blood-tested, vaccinated cat/kitten, and $200-$700 for a dog. This includes all age appropriate medical care and microchipping.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Applications are online at www.chesed-rescue.org/adoptions. All applicants are background and vet checked. We are looking for stable homes
  2. Meet the Pet
    1. Approved applicants are invited to meet the dog or cat and see if we have a match. If so, next is a home visit & introduction to other pets
  3. Sign Adoption Contract

Go meet their pets

We do not have a shelter and our animals are seen by appointment only.

More about this rescue

Chesed Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted animals. “Chesed” is often translated as “loving kindness”. Acts qualify as “chesed” when they are motivated by a spirit of generosity, not obligation.

Chesed is a small rescue, where we get to know each animal as an individual. Our placements focus on not just finding excellent homes, but excellent homes that are the right fit for each pet. Our adoption criteria is strict. We work hard to get these pets to safety, we donate many hours to their care, and will not settle for anything less that a great home for their future.

All of our pets are in foster homes, where they get used to being a loved house pet. If you are interested in saving lives and getting fuzzy snuggles, please apply to foster at www.chesed-rescue.org/fostering.

In addition to our adoption and education programs, we manage the Kobi center, which provides those less fortunate or those on a fixed income with necessary pet supplies, food and medications.
