Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1 y/o Rowdy was found stray in Cypress. His finder kept him safe until HBHR could rescue him. He is in good health, and all recovered from his neuter. He is 15 inches tall, 26 skinny pounds and all beagle pup!

Rowdy has good house manners and leaves things alone that do not belong to the pack, but he will need a home that keeps him busy and offers plenty of things to chew on! Rowdy loves to play and is on the go most of the day. He really responds to younger beagles who join the pack. He was worn out one weekend when an 8-month-old pup visited!

Rowdy enjoys cuddle time when it is time for a break. He comes up most of the visitor for his share of pets and often stays by their feet for some extra loving! Rowdy needs and active family with kids to chase around and a playful canine buddy to spend his days with!

1.
Submit Application

The first step in our adoption process is the completion of our on-line application to adopt. The application can be found on our website.

2.
Approve Application

Go to our website www.HoustonBeagleRescue.org and click on the link "About Adoption." After receiving your application, we will contact you.

3.
Home Check

Once your application is approved, a volunteer will bring the beagle to your home to meet your family and pets, and approve the adoption..

4.
Meet the Pet

You are invited to attend our monthly meet and greets without completing an application, but no adoption can take place before applying.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is for interested parties to complete the on-line adoption application found on our website. We require an adoption fee ($300 for purebred beagles and coon hounds; $250 for mixes; $200 for special needs or seniors 8 years +; and $350 for pups age 8 mo. or younger) and an adoption contract. ALL dogs will be vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoption!

We typically have meet & greet events on the second Sunday of each month, from noon to 3:00 p.m. and will always bring several of the rescued beagles to that event, so look up the location of the month on our website, and come meet some adorable beagles! We also periodically hold special activities, and occasionally attend Houston-area adoption events which will be listed on our "events" section of our website. Our quarterly newsletter is published on our website at www.HoustonBeagleRescue.org
