If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Tika is a 7 year old Aussie, she is not a mini but I believe she was the runt of her litter so she is a bit smaller than a normal Australian Shepherd (17lbs) and is completely healthy. Tika absolutely loves people, is very loyal, loves giving handshakes and kisses. She loves to play fetch and tug of war. She never causes issues for us - like biting furniture, or peeing/pooping inside - when we are not home.
When she was two years old, she went to a 2-week general manners/obedience training so she knows basics like sit, down, come, place, heel, and break although if she is excited about something, it can be harder for her to listen. We have a backyard that does not have a fence, and we are able to let her outside without a leash. She is good with other dogs and horses.
She has demonstrated being great with kids as young as 3 years old but has shown some aggression towards children around 1 year old. Otherwise, she is a great dog full of joy and love!
