Meet Valor – Your Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold!

Valor is an extremely loving Great Dane with a personality just as big as he is. This handsome boy absolutely adores his people and thrives on being part of the family. Whether he’s joining you for a walk ‍, hopping into the dog van for a ride , or simply leaning in for affection (and yes — he is a big leaner!), Valor just wants to be close to those he loves.

One of Valor’s favorite pastimes is stretching out in a fenced yard and basking in the sunshine . A secure fenced yard is a must for this big guy, as he truly enjoys having space to relax and safely explore. He also accompanies his person to work and happily greets customers with a wag and a smile, showing off his gentle and friendly nature.

Valor is a sensitive soul who bonds deeply with his family. He needs a home that will give him time to feel safe, secure, and comfortable as he settles in. Once he trusts you, his loving personality shines through in the sweetest ways. Because of his calm and gentle temperament, he could be a wonderful fit for a first-time Dane family — as long as they’re steady on their feet and ready for those full-body Dane leans!

A confident canine companion could be a wonderful bonus for Valor, helping him continue to build confidence. Ongoing training will also help him thrive and strengthen his bond with his new family.

If you’re ready to welcome a loyal, affectionate, sunshine-loving gentle giant into your home, Valor is waiting to lean into your heart forever.

More about this rescue

Just Giant Rescue Inc (JGRI) is a dog rescue catering to giant breed dogs. We don’t discriminate against breed, but they must be giants such as the regal Great Dane, loyal Mastiff, and clownish Saint Bernard, to name a few.

We strive to follow the 3 R’s.
• Rescuing. We rescue from all types of situations, owner surrenders, and from local shelters. We strive to help as many as we can, with what resources we have available.
• Rehabilitating. All dogs are fostered inside loving homes, becoming temporary family members. They are fully vet checked, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and guarded against heartworm, fleas and ticks. They are also given a temperament test prior to being eligible for adoption.
• Re-homing. Each dog is individually matched with the best suited adoptive home for them. Each applicant wanting to adopt must fill out an application and complete a home check prior to being approved.
