Female • 3 Months Old • Black Mouth Cur/Lab Mix
If confidence had a face, it would look exactly like Rhonda’s. And trust us — it’s a face you can’t stay mad at. Not even a little bit. Not even when she “redecorates” your yard with enthusiasm.
Rhonda is a 3-month-old Black Mouth Cur/Lab mix who was found dumped at a hunting cabin in the middle of nowhere. While her start wasn’t glamorous, you’d never know it — this girl walks through life like she owns it (politely, of course).
She is super human-centric and absolutely thrives on connection. If you sit down, she’s there. If you stand up, she’s there. If you go to the bathroom… yes, she’s there too. She thinks personal space is only a suggestion!
Her play style is gentle and sweet, and she does great with other dogs and people. Cats are still a mystery, but at her young age, with proper introductions and guidance, she should do just fine. She’s smart, adaptable, and soaking up the world like a fuzzy little sponge.
Rhonda is expected to grow into a fabulous medium-sized adventure buddy — big enough for hiking trails and weekend road trips, but still compact enough to hog your couch without totally taking it over. (We said totally.)

Hay Dude Equine Rescue, in Boerne, TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs, are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
